Unlock Your Inner Champion: Creating a
Life of Success
After an accident, that left Judy Siegle in a wheel chair, she faced the
question of what her life would be. Each day in rehabilitation she found her
inner champion that encouraged her to put one foot in front of the other.
She visualized walking to receive her college diploma, which she
accomplished in front of a cheering crowd. Her inner champion refused to ask
“why” but instead “why not.” Why not participate in life fully? With her
inner champion pushing her to step out, she found that doors opened in work,
life and sports. She became a national record holder as an elite wheel chair
racer and competed in the 1996 and 2000 Paralympics. She found courage to
turn her personal tragedy into a life of success. Judy will share how each
of us can achieve success in work and in life by tapping our talents and
abilities and being the best we can be. She will discuss what a life of
success looks like and how to set goals and stay focused on a vision that
matters. She will share her keys to unlocking one’s inner champion and how
you can do the same.
Target Audience: Young Adults, Youth & Leaders Serving Humanity
A Winner for Life: Giving Your All When
Others Are Giving Up
As a high school basketball star, Judy Siegle knew about winning on the
basketball court. But if wasn’t until the summer before college, when an
accident left her in a wheelchair, that Judy learned what it means to be a
winner for life. During the six months that Judy spent recovering from her
accident, she had to come to terms with the fact that the game would be
different, but it would go on. Judy realized that she had a choice if and
how she participated in the game we call life. She chose to participate
fully even when others might have given up. In college she became a valued
member of her basketball team by keeping the 30-second clock and cheering
her teammates on. With this same attitude Judy learned how to ski, kayak,
and become an elite wheel chair racer who competed in the 1996 and 2000
Paralympics. No matter the final score, Judy has become a winner for life.
Hear an amazing story of how one woman didn’t give up and instead turned a
tragedy into being a winner for life. Judy will energize you to find your
strengths and utilize them to your fullest – even when the going gets tough.
She’ll share why it’s about being your best, not being the best. You’ll come
away motivated to participate in the great adventure of living life.
Target Audience: Health Care & Rehabilitation Professionals

In The Little Things
Judy Siegle has spent the past 20 years as a social worker and community
relations specialist. In this role she has seen the struggles and heard the
challenges that many people have. But Judy has had a unique perspective. She
understands what it is like to face difficult times, having become a
quadriplegic after an accident in her late teens. Pulling from her own life
experiences, as well as others, Judy shares how each of us can make a
difference. “No matter what our story, whether we are the caregiver or the
one being cared for, no one can make a difference like you,” says Judy. Judy
will inspire you to see the joy of each day and to share your unique gifts.
Judy has experienced first hand, and seen countless times in her work, how
it is in the little things that we do that can make the biggest differences.
